Friday Reading for 12/5/2014

On Fridays I share my favorite links from around the Internets.

This isn’t a “reading” exactly, but do check out the podcasts from Open Knowledge’s OK Cast.  It’s great to hear these free-form interviews from the awesome people I met at OpenCon and OpenEd this year, plus some others. I’m still going through the archives, and you should too!

Are you a “science blogger”? (I think social scientists and humanists count too.) Take this survey about your blogging habits to help research!

I enjoyed reading this story about the guy behind the I Quant NY blog, and how he uses open data from his city for an awesome variety of analyses the improve all kinds of aspects of life in New York City.

At their 2015 Meeting in January, the Linguistics Society of America is holding a Wikipedia edit-a-thon. I approve!
